Overview

Minting and redeeming leverage tokens is similar to other Sets, but with a different flow of funds. For the purposes of demonstration, this article will go over how the process works with the ETH2x-FLI.

Issuing and Redeeming is generally only useful for larger quantities or for those wishing to do an arbitrage transaction. If that does not apply to use, please go through the normal buy/sell flow described here.

Issuing

1. Log into your Web3 Account on TokenSets. If you are new to the platform, you can find guides on how to get started here.

2. Make sure your account has ETH in it. Like all transactions on Ethereum, you need to have ETH in your account to pay for gas costs. Gas costs are not fees we charge as a platform, rather something required to use Ethereum. The precise dollar amount will be based on how congested the network is at the time.

3. Navigate to the Explore page here and click on the Leverage Set you wish to trade. For the purposes of this article, we will be using the ETH 2x Flexible Leverage Index.

4. On the product page, you will see the following banner. Click on the three vertical dots as shown in the picture below to see the Issue and Redeem options.

5. Click Issue. You will see the following screen. The exact tokens will differ based on what type of Leverage Set you are trying to issue.

6. Each approval will be an ETH transaction that is going to cost some gas. Make sure you execute each transaction and wait for them to mine. After each approval is processed, your screen should look something like this.

7. Make sure you have the proper components in the right quantities. Once you have the right balance, hit Issue!

8. Wait for the transaction to mine. After a successful transaction, you should see this screen.

9. If you don’t see it in your wallet, make sure to add tracking for the asset! You can find the contract address and other information in the Set Details section of the product page.

7. Make sure you have the proper components in the right quantities. Once you have the right balance, hit Issue!

8. After the transaction mines, you’ll be done!
